Welcome! On behalf of the entire Veil family, we want to say congratulations. Being in love is an extraordinary feeling, and this is an exciting time of your life as you plan your wedding and venture into matrimony.
15 years ago I met and married the love of my life, the man of my dreams, my soul mate. As we planned our wedding—which I wish I could do every year—I felt that my passion for the weddings could culminate into something creative and valuable to other Wisconsin bridal couples.
Veil Magazine exists because of the support of my husband, Weldon, our loving families, our exceptional Veil team and our incredibly talented advertisers. Each year I fall in love over and over again with my Veil family and everything we have accomplished. It is a place for us to share what we love about weddings, what inspires us and to show local Wisconsin couples like you that there is more to telling your unique love story than all the bells and whistles.
Wisconsin couples have a unique sense of style. To help nurture that flair, we have produced a stunning magazine that engages with local bridal trends, sophisticated product features, beautiful weddings of local newlyweds and expert advice. Veil Magazine is also designed to connect wedding venues, businesses, retailers and planners to our readers: Wisconsin’s most discerning couples.
We hope you enjoy this issue of Veil Magazine. Among the many wedding artisans featured here that are personally invested in your day. We hope this experience helps you feel close to our team and our advertisers, with an underlying understanding of your unique tastes.
Cheers to the incredible journey that is marriage! Let us join you for the ride, and don’t be shy about giving us feedback along the way. You can connect with us on our website, on social media and through our blog for where people can interact with us.
May your future together be filled with love, happiness and family, leaving you feeling joyfully fulfilled.
I’m lucky that Veil Magazine keeps the romance of weddings alive for me every single day.

TERRI BLAHNIK

Creative Director

I got an amazing opportunity to design pages for Veil Magazine two years ago. Now I get to design the whole magazine with Denise, design miscellaneous collateral, and help plan and work at photo shoots. Being part of Veil and the wedding industry, talking to brides and working with advertisers, I have learned so much and could not imagine doing anything else.

MICHELLE DREWEK

Managing Editor/Writer

I began with Veil in 2011 after graduating from UW-Milwaukee with a Journalism degree. Writing has always been my passion, and combining that with the innate allure of the wedding industry has been beyond fulfilling. Being happily married myself, I love this opportunity to help couples plan their dream wedding and write about newlyweds’ Happily Ever Afters.

CLAIRE SWINARSKI

As a writer for Veil, I get to research and write stories on  upcoming trends in floral arrangements, baked goods, fashion, and more. I love interviewing top experts in the wedding industry to provide the best information for our brides. I enjoy learning about every aspect of weddings, from the planning to the pictures, and I feel so lucky to get to work with Veil!

I’ve always loved weddings — you usually can catch me watching Say Yes to the Dress or obsessing over wedding pins on Pinterest. When I saw the gold sequin bridesmaid dresses on Veil Magazine’s cover, I knew 1) I needed my bridesmaids in them for my wedding 2) I needed to work with this magazine. Getting to combine my love of social media and the wedding industry has been such a dream come true!

Favorite Wedding Movie:  Father of the Bride

Favorite Wedding Song:  Then by Brad Paisley
