KEY BEAUTY SECRETS FOR ALL SEASONS

Everyone dreams about looking gorgeous on their wedding day! As a professional makeup artist, it is a joy to help brides achieve this dream. Rather than following a strict list of rules about makeup, I only have two suggestions for brides: first, I tell them to make sure their makeup showcases their personalities, and second ensure the look they chose will last throughout the day. One of the most popular beauty trends of 2008 is going to be glowing skin. To achieve this look, one should take good care of their skin everyday by keeping it hydrated and being aware of practical care with facials. (Those with worse skin conditions should consider seeing a dermatologist.) Having good skin will allow the makeup to wear better on the face. Skin For glowing skin try a sheer look, with a water-based foundation. If you want more coverage with a matte look try a cream to powder base. To keep the celebrity glow all day, use a cream based blush with peachy gold undertones. To ensure a look that will last all day, consider using the following types of products: water resistant foundations, cream blushes, and cream or water resistant shadow bases. Eyes When it comes to shadows try to keep it simple with basic sweeps of soft colors in taupe, peachy/pinks and plums. For a smoky eye, try a brown or plum to give a softer look than black shadow. If black is a must, choose a black with gold flecks in it to lessen the severity. Also, be sure to use waterproof mascara to prevent streaking or smudges. Lips Lip color plays an important part of the entire look by tying all the elements together. I prefer to keep my brides glossy with sheer or slightly deeper shades. Lipsticks and pencils tend to crease and disappear requiring the bride to constantly reapply. If you find yourself overwhelmed, I highly recommend seeking out a professional makeup artist. They have all the tools to assist you in choosing colors and styles that will work best for you. It is a great way to relax and allow someone to take care of you for a little while! Besides, what girl doesn’t need a little pampering before their wedding day?
